 How Trinity Works
In June 2003 Trinity Lutheran Church took a step toward becoming an even more mission focused congregation. Behind the decision to take that step were three key desires:
- To grow in our ability to care for and support each other spiritually
- To create more opportunities for more people to share their God-given gifts in ministries that moved their hearts and inspired their minds
- To remove the barriers between ministry groups in order to grow the over-all effectiveness of our ministries
Those desires led us to three key needs:
- A less hierarchical, "leaner," structure with fewer boards and more hands-on ministry groups
- An environment where permission is given and initiative encouraged
- A structure based on sharing information instead of exercising authority
The changes made were designed to meet those desires and fill those needs. The change is still in process, but it has already produced many benefits. A brochure available for download below is intended to help you understand our structure and to encourage you to find, or create, your place in the ministries of Trinity Lutheran Church.
