How Trinity Works

Operations

Our operating structure is about support: the work of leadership is to support the lives and ministries of those they serve through tiers of Christian caring. That means we as a congregation will define success differently. We won't evaluate ourselves by the number of people who participate in any particular program, class, or gathering. Instead our success will be measured by the number of people who can say that Trinity is helping them to share, grow, and live the grace of Jesus Christ.

Our operating structure is like an upside down triangle, with the point at the bottom.

Members and Participants
Mustard Seed LifeGroups
Leadership Teams
Pastors and Staff

At the top sits the Members and participants. Trinity is committed to helping Members and Participants discover the depths of faith, the richness of community, and the joy of service.

The next level is the Mustard Seed and LifeGroups who work together, celebrate together, study together, pray together, question together, plan together, dream together, or even eat together.

The third level are the Leadership Teams, such as the Mission Council, the gathering of the elected leadership of the congregation, the directors of our community ministries, the pastors, administrator, and a staff representative. The council is responsible for the big picture, the budget, and the policies of the congregation. Its goal is to support the Mustard Seed and LifeGroups, to recommend actions to the congregation, and to keep the vision of Trinity growing in response to our changing world. The Mission Council has appointed an Executive Committee to handle the day to day, nuts and bolts work of sustaining the ministry of the congregation.

Pastors and staff are the support for all of the activities, ministries, and people of Trinity.
