Ash Wednesday (6:30 PM)

In a culture obsessed with “curating” a life of seamless perfection, “the Shock of the Break” is a radical act of truth-telling. We often mistake spiritual maturity for the absence of cracks. But the Divine Potter is not looking for a polished surface; the Holy One seeks the aperture created by the fracture. On this day, we stop performing wholeness. We acknowledge that the fractures in our own hearts are inextricably linked to the fractures of injustice in our world. We admit that the vessel of our collective life—our systems, our kinships, our ecological stewardship—is shattered.
