Special Congregational Meeting

A special congregational meeting will be held to consider one agenda item: approval of Phase I of Sanctuary Lighting Repairs (console replacement). At its November meeting, the Church Council voted unanimously to move forward with using reserve funds to replace the control panel for the Sanctuary lighting system. Because the estimated cost of this work ($85,000) exceeds the Council’s constitutional spending authority, congregational approval is required.

The current console is original to the building and can no longer be repaired. Many will remember the recent service when much of the Sanctuary was in the dark before a temporary workaround was found to restore lighting at the back (though dimming in that area remains unavailable). Trinity has been working with lighting consultant Dan Salinas (who is offering his services at no cost), equipment manufacturer Lutron, and Nelson Electric to develop a replacement plan.
