In the Kintsugi process, before the gold can bind the pieces, the shards must be meticulously cleaned. Any dust, grit, or residue from the “break” will prevent the adhesive from holding. This week is a provocative exploration of Radical Transparency. We often carry the “dust” of our past—shame, labels placed upon us by others, or the grit of systemic division—as if it were part of our actual identity. We explore the Inclusive Well, a place where the “outsider” is the primary theologian. Healing requires us to stop drinking from the stagnant pools of our own defenses and instead submit our fractures to the “Living Water” that washes away everything but our true, beloved essence.
