SUNDAY WORSHIP GATHERING
Rooted in Community Week Branching Out in Generosity
October 20, 2024 at 10 AM
Week 3 of our Rooted in Community Initiative worship series, we explore how the Beatitudes from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount call us to embody generosity and justice in our financial choices. Drawing from Matthew 5:1-15, the focus is on using our resources to reflect humility, compassion, peacemaking, and a hunger for righteousness. As we branch out in generosity, we are invited to let our giving be a source of light, hope, and justice in the world, aligning with God's vision of a more just and compassionate community. Reflect on how your financial decisions can contribute to this vision.
Last Sunday's Sermon
Sunday School takes place this Sunday following the Young Worshipper's message. For all children Pre-K through 7th grade. Speak to David Greenlee with questions.

🌱 Generosity Lived: Rooted in Community
"Generosity Lived: Rooted in Community" calls us to embrace a lifestyle of generosity as an expression of faith. With rapid changes in Lynnwood, including the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center and light rail development, our role in the community is more vital than ever. Strengthening our Mission Budget will help address mission priorities and capital needs, fostering deeper connections. Through generous support, we've already impacted local organizations like Cocoon House. Let’s continue embodying God’s love by contributing our time, talents, and resources, nurturing a stronger, more connected community.

A Presentation and Conversation on Domestic Violence - Oct. 20
Sunday, October 20 at 11:30 AM

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Trinity's RIC Team invites everyone to join together for an important presentation and conversation on domestic violence. Our special guest, Janeira Bencosme-Gil, Co-Executive Director of Organizational Operations at LifeWire, will guide us through key topics, including:
Definitions, abusive forms, and tactics
Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) in context
Impact of IPV
Working with IPV survivors and barriers faced
Working with a harming partner
High-risk indicators and safety planning
Available resources
Q&A session
Domestic violence affects people of all genders and sexual orientations. Alarmingly, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced physical violence from an intimate partner. We also know that transgender and nonbinary individuals experience abuse at even higher rates. This is an opportunity to learn how IPV impacts our wider community and how we can respond with compassion and support.

🕯️ All Saints Day Worship - Nov. 1
Friday, November 1 at 6:30 PM - in person & online
All Saints Day celebrates the baptized people of God, living and dead, who are the body of Christ. This service is intended to spend time together and comfort one another; to remind each other that death is real, but so are resurrection and life.
We gather to remember those who died, and to accompany one another as the Spirit works healing and wholeness. And we gather for worship with the hope of life in the Lord Jesus who accompanies, strengthens and reminds us that death has been defeated and that we will one day be reunited with our loved ones.
