Gardening for Neighbors: TLCS Vertical Garden Info Forum

All are invited to learn about producing gardens at TLCS, a pilot project envisioned by a recent new member. Since that initial seed was planted, the collaborative work of Service Ministry teams has explored how TLCS can be a catalyst of heaing and transformation in the community through growing and distributing produce! This team will offer an information forum on Feb 18 following worship at which you will hear the background, see where we are at, and learn how you can get involved in this pilot project. 

The desired impact in the community is to offset food scarcity with healthy and fresh vegetables. Potential distribution recipients of produce includes our Neighbors in Need ministry and local food banks. The vertical gardens pilot project are a channel to live out the values and of the congregation by:   

• Improving and strengthen collaboration
• Creating spaces to build relationships with neighbors
• Strengthening partnerships with community organizations
• Making fresh produces available to neighbors
