Each November, Military Families Appreciation Month invites reflection on the unseen service and daily sacrifices made by those who support loved ones in uniform. Behind every active-duty member, veteran, reservist, or National Guard soldier is a network of spouses, children, parents, and loved ones who carry the weight of long separations, relocations, and uncertainty with remarkable strength.
This month reminds us that military service is never carried out alone. As we honored veterans on November 11, we also recognize the families who hold steady at home—families who demonstrate resilience, courage, and unwavering love in the face of challenge.
Scripture
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
This promise of God’s sustaining presence is a source of comfort for all who shoulder the burdens of service—both those who serve abroad and those who serve by loving, waiting, and supporting at home.
Prayer
God of steadfast love, hold close the families who support military members near and far. Grant peace in times of separation, strength in seasons of uncertainty, and hope in the face of fear. Inspire our community to show gratitude with compassion and action. Surround all military families with your protection and care.
Amen.
