A Conversation with Sister Lucy of Maher

Living Water (a joint ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church & Schools and Edmonds Lutheran) is pleased to present an inspiring evening with Sister Lucy Kurien, the visionary behind Maher ("Mothers Home"), nestled in Pune, India. Established in 1997, Maher offers refuge and support to women in crisis, nurtures children and disabled adults in loving homes, and spearheads grassroots initiatives for women's empowerment, sustainable development, and education across seven Indian states.

Maher stands as a beacon of hope, transcending boundaries of faith and caste, with a simple creed: "Love is Our Religion." Living Water committee proudly supports Maher's mission, and since 2016 has contributed over $42,000 to fund vital water infrastructure projects.
