A Wider Table: Week 1 Generosity Moment
For week 1 of 'A Wider Table,' Mary Denny opened the season of generosity from the Lord's table with a story about her Aunt Kate, who spent forty years teaching first grade and giving children a good start, and with a nod to Francis of Assisi, who died 800 years ago this weekend. Her reminder: at the Lord's table, God takes the initiative, and that initiative becomes our calling to love others as God loves.
