Follow-Up Forums: Re-imagining TLCS Ministry

Greeting, my dear siblings in Christ.

A couple of months ago some of you and I gathered together to review your responses to the survey that I sent you in connection with the process to reimagine TLCS ministry.  

For the past few months, I have been working with the council to assess the current ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church & Schools.

The assessment's desired outcome was to clarify TLCS’ ministry priorities so that we can faithfully steward our resources—both now and into the future. The two key components of the process are:  

• Understanding the realities of our context today.

• Discerning how to steward the resources God has given us to carry out this ministry.

After analyzing and sorting out your input, you have identified some trends and priorities for ministry.

Recognizing that the congregation has changed in size, membership composition, generational demographics, as well as in what is relevant in the surrounding community. We need to actively discern how TLCS will respond faithfully to continue to be a catalyst for healing transformation and wholeness in this new reality.  

To do so, we will use the outcomes of this assessment to spend time together working on small focus groups to envision how we can steward resources, envision possible areas of focus, and provide some initial direction for the congregation’s council and the lead paste.  

Your insights are invaluable in this discernment process. That’s why the council and I invite  you to join one of the two upcoming forums:

• In-person forum - Sunday, August 17, 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM

• Online forum - Tuesday, August 19, 6:30 - 7:30 PM (Zoom link)
