Please take a look at the attachment. Jude brought in a Christmas poem that defines our Saturday mornings. If Jesus visited, there is no doubt that he would happily stay for a burrito.
NiN mornings start at 6:30 AM sharp! A self appointed committee of Neighbors are on hand to set up all of the tables and chairs and bring up all clothing and food from downstairs storage.
The team from St Philopater & St Demiana Coptic Orthodox Church were with us this morning to prepare burritos, sort clothes, sort food for pantry and VERY IMPORTANT to be neighbors to our Neighbors. They gave our guests a lot of sincerere fellowship.
Welcome back Christine! 🙂 Christine is a registered nurse and serves through Advocates Recovery Services. She consulted several this morning who had winter aches, pains and sniffles. It's definitely mask season.
Our pantry served 74 Neighbors and four families this morning. The crowd is always a bit smaller at the very first of each month.
Happy, healthy, and welcoming new year!
Joan
