Neighbors in Need Report + January 31, 2026

The pantry must have had a promotional sale this morning! They delivered bags of groceries, salads and fruit, sandwiches, bread and peanut butter, plus beverages to 104 Neighbors. When you are that busy, you lose track of how many beloved pets you serve, but they do remember that it was a BUNCH 🙂. The team also boxed up a lot of nutrition for a family.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to our partners from St Philopater & St Demiana Coptic Orthodox congregation for preparing enough burritos for our very large crowd. It's a big deal to cook for our predictably large "end of the month" crowd. And thank you for extra generosity to our Neighbors' pets. Bags of dog kibble were a welcome addition to the morning menu.

There was good news to celebrate this morning.

• Sherrie was reunited with BamBam (her cat) after two weeks of despair.

• Spencer has added a TV to his apartment furnishings.

• Michael was treated at Swedish emergency and is newly committed to taking his meds.

• B-Rad willingly went to emergency for wound care after a bycycle accident and promises to work with a navigator.

• Patti stopped by! She has been clean for at least three years now. She's regularly attending both AA and NA.
