If no one reports, did Neighbors in Need actually happen? We did and we had a great day. Many neighbors attended. Many volunteers served generously. Breakfast was delicious.
Our team from Holy Rosary served 165 plates of biscuits, gravy, sausages and fresh fruit plus fruit juice and milk. They, of course, prepared the always popular burritos. On behalf of our Neighbors, ... Thank you.
The pantry was just as busy as the breakfast table. They prepared and handed out 90 plus bags of groceries, salads, sandwiches, beverages, and toiletries. We and our Neighbors are so blessed by the generosity of the Edmonds Food Bank. They supply a minimum of 7,000 pounds of nutrition every month. Now add the fresh salads fruit and eggs that their drivers deliver every Saturday, the Food Bank's support of our Neighbors is seriously life giving.
The clothing bank was busy the entire morning. So was the coffee table. We should publish our Neighbors' recipe for coffee with cocoa, sugar and creamer. They do enjoy their mochas!
Remember that Advocates Recovery Services is hosting their health fair this coming Friday, March 27, noon to 2:00 PM. In addition to medical care, there will be Narcan training, peer support specialists and a wealth of community resources. We all have reason to attend. A flyer is attached.

We welcome spring time and look forward to warmer nights. God bless us all.
