Neighbors in Need Report + March 7, 2026

Thank you to our team from St Philopater St Demiana Coptic Orthodox for preparing burritos this morning and for bringing delicious pastries. Once again, they served a large hungry crowd. Please know how much we enjoy having your children with you in the kitchen. It's a fun morning for all of us.

We started the morning with a big crowd who were eager for coffee. Most people left after enjoying their burritos. Life got quiet early.

The pantry served 78 Neighbors this morning. Edmonds Food Bank brought us an abundance of Trader Joe's salads and fruit. Advocates Recovery services added hoagie sandwiches. It was a good day to visit the pantry. 🙂

Thank you to the youth from St Hilda St Patrick Episcopal Church for delivering generous donations to our clothing department!! They brought much needed blankets as well as clothing. It was great to have you with us.

It seems like our clothing department is the most popular store in town. A long line of two frequently damp Neighbors wait patiently for their turn to shop. We always need men's jeans, men's underwear and shoes for both men and women. All donations are certainly put to good use.

It was a typically busy morning for our medical team. Advocates Recovery Services cared for 8 patients, two had some serious wound care needs.

Members of Trinity who volunteer at NiN prepared burritos for our congregation's Lent Supper last Wednesday evening. We regularly volunteer throughout the various "NiN departments", but we are out of practice at burrito preparation. Chris Frizzell is an expert and a patient manager. Thank you. Our guests enjoyed the burritos and were kind about our novice skills at burrito rolling. Trinity's Neighbors in Need volunteers sure are good sports.

With thanks to all,

Joan
