Where have all the Neighbors gone? It was another very quiet day. Neighbors who were with us were certainly hungry. The team from Holy Rosary Catholic Church served 120 plates of biscuits and gravy, sausage and fresh fruit plus several dozen burritos. Thank you from everyone for a delicious start of the day.
CLOTHING BANK
We continue to simplify our clothing bank. We can accept clothing donations on Saturday mornings and no more than 2 bags from each donor. The office staff at Trinity will not be able to accept donations during the week. Neighbors in Need and especially our Neighbors are grateful for abundant generosity. However we must stay within our capacity of space and volunteers' hours of serving.
Our pantry served 60 Neighbors and 2 families this morning. Again, a reflection of a smaller guest count.
Thank you to Advocates Recovery Services for sandwiches and coffee, for volunteering your time and for medical care.
News about our Neighbors is somber today.
Dan is in the hospital recovering from surgery.
Amber is terrified after a physical exam found pre-cancerous cells.
David has passed away.
Cherrie and Aaron's cat was killed by a coyote.
Jerry's SSI income is at risk due to technical glitch in the social security system.
Celebrate with Terry! He starts a new job on Monday.
All prayers are certainly welcome.
Thank you to all of or volunteers. What a bunch of versatile and willing servants. Yay, team!!!!
Gratefully,
Joan
