As part of Trinity's 2025 generosity initiative, "Living Generously, Loving Boldly," members were asked to reflect on what it means to live generously.

Galatians 5:6: “The only thing that counts is faith working through love.”
In reading Galatians 5:6 my mind goes to what is my faith leading me to do. When pondering this question, I naturally come to what am I doing with my time. Time is a limited quantity and I want my time to count. I want my time to be spent showing the love that I have for my “community”. I want to be generous with this precious amount of time doing things that I love. To me love and generosity are flip sides of the same coin. If you love something or someone you will be generous with yourself, your time, and your resources. God’s love has inspired me to give time to the Church council, Living Water ministry, knitting prayer shawls, working in the Garden ministry, and helping during church services. I’ve witnessed God’s love inspiring other people here in many ways. I’ve seen God’s love expressed through the people loading the dishwasher after a potluck. People setting up and tearing down after a potluck. People knitting in the prayer shawl ministry. People working on quilts to send around the world to those in need. People working in the Garden ministry growing vegetables for the homeless during Neighbors in Need. People on the Living Water ministry working for clean water around the world. People who are members of the church council. Not to mention all the people it takes for Sunday worship services!
We at Trinity have a unique opportunity to show faith at work throughout our community by working with the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center. For me personally I’m not sure how I’ll fit into this center, but I’m open to whatever may happen!
We also have the opportunity to live generously at Trinity with our financial support. I think about how I am able to live comfortably, and how God has given me this gift. In turn I want to give of my financial resources to keep this church which I love running at full speed. I strive to tithe if at all possible. I am wanting to get to that goal this year. Hopefully you will too.
