Introducing Living Generously, Loving Boldly

ree

“The only thing that counts is faith working through love.”

Galatians 5:6

Dear Siblings in Christ,

We believe this is a moment of possibility for Trinity Lutheran Church & Schools. Our campus is alive with ministry and connection. Soon, new partnerships will take shape through the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center. Worship, learning, service, and fellowship are vibrant and growing. We are being called to live more generously, love more boldly, and step more confidently into our shared mission of healing and transformation.

Living Generously, Loving Boldly is grounded in the belief that our response to God’s grace is never about obligation — it is about embodying God’s love in every part of our lives. Paul’s reminder to the Galatians still speaks to us: faith comes alive when it shows up in generosity, compassion, courage, hospitality, and community. Whether we give of our finances, our time, our prayers, or our presence — each act becomes part of the Spirit’s work through us.

This fall, every person in the Trinity community is invited to consider: What does it mean for me to live generously and love boldly? How am I being called to give, serve, and grow in this season? Together, we will celebrate the generosity that has shaped our past and commit to the bold love that will shape our future.

Our initiative goals are simple but significant:

  • 100% prayerful engagement

  • Sustain or grow financial contributions

  • Select our 2026 Mission Giving Fund recipient

  • Reach our 2026 Mission Budget target of $1,236,334 (5% increase over 2025 budgeted contribution income)

Whether you’ve given faithfully for many years or are newer to our community, your generosity matters. Prayerfully consider how you will live generously and love boldly in the year ahead. Every commitment — of any size — strengthens our ability to share Christ’s love in word and action.

Recently, an initiative brochure and a Commitment Card were mailed to the congregation, and additional copies are available in the narthex. Explore more, including an online commitment card, on the initiative webpage.

Together, let’s join in prayer, discernment, and commitment as we live generously and love boldly. On Commitment Sunday, October 26, we will bring our gifts, our prayers, and our promises as a community — a visible sign that, here at Trinity, faith really does work through love.
