Here are a few highlights from the March 15 meeting:
We spent time discussing staff reports.
Mark provided an update on the building stewardship initiative. Work is beginning in each of the four focus areas: capital campaign, roof project, communications, and budget integration. The Council will have additional information for the congregation soon. Meanwhile, feel free to reach out to Mark, Dave Fox, Pastor Hector, or Don Boelter with questions.
Our giving is down by 14% and expenses are up by 44%. There are a number of one-off expenses that hit in February (the organ, pre-payments for youth events, etc). Though we aren’t worried about expenses at this point, we encourage everyone to prayerfully consider stewardship.
Pastor Jenna shared an updated description of mutual ministry that she and Pastor Hector have been developing for TLCS. The Council will share additional information about this with the congregation after the description is complete - in another couple of months.
