Neighbors in Need Report + November 1, 2025

Pemco fed the multitudes this morning! Knowing that our guest count is bound to increase, the Pemco team prepared double quantities. They served every bit of it. Thank you from all of us for a delicious hot breakfast. We had scrambled eggs, sausage links, oatmeal with raisins and brown sugar, milk and juice, plus pastries. It was a generous hot breakfast on a very wet, very windy morning.

Thank you to Advocates Recovery Services for all kinds of help. Christine was steadily busy at the medical table. She was able to convince one Neighbor to go to emergency for treatment of an infected wound. Thanks to Jeannine for going with him. ARS regularly shares sandwiches that are donated to them from Salt of the Earth ministries. Salt of the Earth also gave Tony four huge bags of winter clothing to pass on to us. We are grateful for the gift and thank you, Tony for delivery service.

Our pantry gave 74 grocery bags and 4 family boxes. As we all know, Edmonds Food Bank is managing severely restricted resources. We and our Neighbors are truly grateful for your concern and generosity in these tough times.

We included a list of needed clothing in last week's report. Thank you again to Salt of the Earth. Aaron posted a request on FaceBook and got a very generous response. Jean Kim Foundation Hygiene Center threw in several boxes of toiletries. Thank you, also, to members of the Trinity congregation for your donations. We will never have enough men's jeans or men's boxer shorts.

Keep up the generous work!

With gratitude,

Joan
