World Mosquito Day is observed on August 20 each year to highlight the ongoing threat posed by mosquitoes, which are responsible for transmitting deadly diseases such as malaria, dengue, Chikungunya, Zika, and yellow fever. The mosquito is the deadliest animal in the world, responsible for more human deaths than any other creature. Yet, through awareness, prevention, and global cooperation, lives can be saved.
