ZOE is for students in grades 7 & 8 and meets from 7:00 - 8:30 PM one Monday per month, September to May. Meetings include a mixture of games and competitions led by high school student coaches, teaching time, and small groups. Middle school students are also asked to attend the weekly NET gathering on Sundays at 6 PM.

Special events and retreats are also planned throughout the year, and students are encouraged to attend summer camp at Lutherhaven in Idaho.

Additionally, the Affirmation of Baptism process (commonly known as confirmation), runs concurrently with middle school programming and typically begins in 7th grade. ZOE is where the Affirmation core curriculum is taught and discussed.
