Living Water Sunday: Wello Water

On the first Sunday of the month, all are invited to bring offerings of coins, cash or check and place them in the well at the front in support of Trinity’s Living Water ministry (tlcs.church/livingwater), which funds water improvement projects around the world.

20 Years of Living Water.

Since Living Water’s inception 20 years ago, over $1,000,000 has been granted for water projects all over the world. To commemorate these two decades of impactful change around the globe, the Living Water team will lift up several projects over five months. The hope and prayer is that we will all enter into a deeper understanding of and commitment to this important mission outreach of TLCS and our many partners, because “out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38b)

Lifting Up Wello Water

On Sunday, April 2, the Living Water team lifts up Wello Water, a social venture with a bold mission: to effectively deliver clean water to a thirsty world. By reframing the water crisis as an opportunity, Wello has reinvented the wheel and developed a business model that empowers individuals to use the WaterWheel as an income-generating tool to lift their families out of poverty.

By giving people easier access to potable water, the WaterWheel frees up valuable time, and in the process, removes barriers that prevent children from going to school and empowers women to engage in more productive activities. Research shows that when women have extra time, they choose to spend it on activities that boost family income, education, health, and wellbeing. Women with even a few years of education have smaller, healthier families, and are more likely to send their children to school. Female education is a key means of breaking the cycle of poverty.
