It was an early full house this morning. We were grateful to be available on a rainy "summer" morning. One Neighbor shared with us the challenges of keeping even tightly packaged foods in your home when your home is a tent in the woods or behind a business Rodents are not shy. With that description of urban outdoor living, we were each renewed in our commitment to sharing the morning with Neighbors.
It was hot sausages, biscuits and gravy plus burritos on this damp morning. Thank you to Holy Rosary Catholic Church for hot breakfast. The bonus was fruit juice and chocolate milk. They served 122 plates to Neighbors who have enthusiastic appetites.
Our pantry was busy as always. They gave 72 grocery bags and packed boxes for 4 families. As always, thank you on behalf of our Neighbors to Edmonds Food Bank, Franz Bakery and Advocates Recovery Services for generous donations of fresh salads and fruit, a variety of breads, fresh sandwiches and a variety of pastries.
Good things are happening at Edmonds Food Bank 🙂 There is a new building in their future that will allow them to serve even more than they do now. Read more about it.
Be sure to share this opportunity: Advocates Recovery Services is hosting a free medical clinic next Friday, June 27.

We wish you summer fun!
Joan
